Betsy has long blonde hair, with both barrettes.
Rubber skull cap wig.
Beautiful face color. Two small scratches on the eyelid on the left. No splits on her crotch, sides or shoulders. No splits on the knees, and both knees bend freely. The hand on the left has light "chew" marks on the top of the hand and fingers. She has over-all light dirt and marks. There is a small dark spot at the top of a leg, on the side.
Betsy's "On the Ranch" dress has no tears or holes, but there is a faded area on the front of the bodice, where it looks like maybe someone did some heavy cleaning. The lace attached to the underside of the skirt all looks good.
The black shoes look nice, with the knobs intact and there are no splits.
The box is in poor shape, with tears, taped areas and paper loss. The whole front corner is missing on the top, and the bottom has a corner that is torn and missing some chipboard at the bottom. There is remnants of pink tissue that is discolored and stained. I will leave that in there, but Betsy will be wrapped in clean tissue.
The pamphlet is a first year one, and is in good condition. There is an address label on it, and it matches one on the box lid. The box is not a first year box, so either it came that way, or the girl who owned this doll had more than one Betsy McCall and the box and pamphlet got mixed up. The dress would not have been on a boxed doll.
