Betsy has thick brunette hair, with both barrettes.
Mesh cap wig.
Light cheek color; it looks streaky under a bright light. I don't know if that is from rubs or cleaning or whether she came that way. With a bright light, there is some light discoloration on her face, and a light scratch over the eyebrow on the right. No splits on her crotch, sides or shoulders. The knee on the left has 2 tinysplit and 1 larger one, and a slight flare. The knee on the right has 1 split with a tiny piece of plastic sticking up at the edge. Her plastic pegged knees both bend freely.
Betsy's "Schoolgirl" blue pin dot dress has no tears or stains. Both arm trims need to be re-stitched at the seam, if desired. The trim appears dingy. The attached ribbon is peach, rather than red. Neither the dress or ribbon appear faded when compared to interior parts.
The red Mary Jane shoes look nice, with the knobs intact and there are no splits. They look like a lighter red to me, so I don't know whether they are original or reproductions.
The box lid has a tear at one corner seam and there is a tear/hole on the opposite corner on the top. There is a tear on one side up the middle. There are a lot of creases, and there is overall wear. There are 2 holes on the top that look like a pen was poked through. The number "3002" is stamped in red at the end. I saw this number on a pink Betsy box. The bottom has no tears or holes, just wear at the edges and some creases.
